Winner of one of the three scholarships at Domus Academy – Brand New Tales competition.
The project is based on the socially important topic of personal debt. With research focused on Bulgaria and the UK. What was apparent is that most collection agencies had almost no web presence and were also lacking visual identity.
The aim is to brand an imaginary debt collection agency while exposing the untold truth of the Eastern European reality – in the period when the coutry was transitioning to democracy – that is the fact that most of the business is in the grey economy, controlled by the organised crime and illegal.
The visual language aims to be serious, but at the same time add humour through the images and ideas that reference different stereotypes and stories from movies and books. Hence the name: BigMo
In the '90s when Bulgaria tranistioned to democracy a lot of the gangsters were ex freestyle wresters and some were calling them the boys with the necks (roughly translated). The logo drew inspiration from that. Hiding the face, being secrative and at the same time showing the brawn the archetype were exhibiting.

Based on research and the various methods showed in movies depicting the organized crime way of frightening people, the brochure takes the theme of a holiday catalog with different packages. Each holiday package is one of these methods and shows how the company can send you on a “holiday” so you repay faster.
